| Bedroom to ACB's right...very comfy After getting settled we went to Dania Beach..wind blew pretty hard but warm enough so still comfortable...stayed until about 4 then went to Publix to get food and beverages      |

| Exercising... it's working! Monday 2/23 probably the warmest day we've had in South Florida...little breeze and high of 80...got out of the nest early this am and watched the sun come up...not too early though...about 6.50...nice out and not by myself...lots of folks out exercising and enjoying the ocean. Tonite 2/23 we went to the number one restaurant in Hollywood Fl. It is a Mexican restaurant right on the boardwalk (though it's concrete) called the Taco Spot ..http://thetacospothollywood.com/ on Hollywood beach..grabbed a chair out front and enjoyed watching the people... which like us are in all shapes and sizes. Today's pics     http://thetacospothollywood.com/ Today, Feb 24th... woke up with some kind of crud.. felt it in my throat last nite... ok after coffee this am and went to beach... beat when I got back to room...slept a couple hours...feel some better after shower and a bite to eat... What a wuss... and on vacation none the less. Today Feb 25th...hitting the meds hard and hitting the salt air harder.... seems crud nearly subsided... decided to go to Jaxsons in Dania...we'd been there twice for ice cream but so many people lined up to get in we passed...tonite we decided to go wait and find out the hub bub... no one waiting and we walked right in at 6:30..good dinner in an interesting environment.    Feb 26...looking like rain so decided to take the day off from the beach and try to find a place to stay for our last two weeks of avoiding winter. Found a place in Pompano Beach but will look at one more option here before deciding. We also stopped at a restaurant "Catfish Deweys" just to see where it it located. We intend to go there Fri nite for their sea scallop dinner... couldn't resist lunch though and it was very good...just a hole in the wall with a bar filled with locals .     Friday, Feb 27th.... got good news this morning... John, at Sunshine called about a cancellation... we can have the room in the morning until the 14th...will be in Dania one less day than planned but don't have to move and don't have to get hotel room two nights.... VERY good.... We went out tonite to Catfish Deweys as planned and got the all you can eat sea scallops...soooo good....but of course ate too much... oh well, have to do it once in awhile to know not to do it....does that make sense? Didn't think so!  One of seven deadly sins...Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires....We plead guilty. Will never go to an AYCE place again (fingers crossed)  |
